Reseller Zoom Reviews

RESELLER HOSTING No Comments »

People interested in a reseller relationship with Reseller Zoom have six general categories of web hosting plans to choose from: failover plans, budget plans, advanced plans, UK/Euro plans, Windows plans and dedicated plans.

Failover plans are a lot like normal reseller plans, with a few extra things thrown in. The most significant aspect of failover plans from the point of view of the reseller is that they use backups in case of massive system shutdowns and therefore allows you to look better in the eyes of your customers because of non-prolonged downtimes. Of course, this extra functionality comes with a price and the cheapest failover plan is $24.95 per month.

People that are not that interested in functionality simply because of the fact that they can’t really afford it will appreciate the budget reseller plans offered by Reseller Zoom. The cheapest one of them weighs in at only $6.95 per month and it comes with 4000 MB of disk space, 60 GB of bandwidth and 20 cPanel accounts. If you want to upgrade to the highest budget plan, then you can get 12,000 MB disk space, 180 GB bandwidth and 180 cPanel accounts for just $14.95 per month.

The advanced plan is for users that are interested in a lot of quality beyond what the actual reselling portion of the web hosting is like. They do not come cheap however and the advanced plans can get up to $54.95 per month depending on what you specifically are interested in getting.

The geographic locations of different servers do indeed make a difference in the way many people feel that they are being treated. Therefore, people that are looking for really fast response times in Europe should take a look at some of the UK/Euro plans, which start at $24.95 per month.

If you are interested in using things like ASP and MSSQL for your programming, then you are definitely going to need Windows reseller plans. It is not a good idea to use those languages without them and Reseller Zoom offers Windows reseller plans from $22.95 per month.

If you are interested in the cream of the crop and have the money to pay, then the sixth option of a dedicated server is something that you will want to take a look at. They are extremely expensive, the cheapest requiring a payment of almost $200 per month, but at the same time they also have the highest flexibility, best functionality and absolute best quality overall.

LiquidWeb Reviews

RESELLER HOSTING No Comments »

There are three types of hosting offered by Liquid Web that could potentially be used with some sort of reseller agreement; dedicated hosting, shared hosting and virtual hosting.

The infrastructure used by Liquid Web in order to provide dedicated hosting to its customers is owned entirely by the Liquid Web Company. This means that if there are any problems that need to be solved on the server side, you as a customer will be linking and liaising with people that are specifically employed in customer service and technical support roles by the same company that you are purchasing the web reseller hosting from. This has the advantage of being more convenient for you.

The main disadvantage of dedicated hosting, even for a person planning on reselling the hosting, is actually that it is quite expensive. As an alternative to the dedicated hosting option, there is also shared hosting offered by the Liquid Web Company. This type of hosting does not have a single dedicated server to your hosting, but rather forces you to share hosting with a number of other people. This is not particularly advantageous to people that are interested in getting into the reseller business, but at the same time the price is quite a bit better than what you can expect from the first dedicated server option.

Somewhere in between those two extremes (expensive, feature rich dedicated hosting and cheap, feature poor shared hosting) is the third and final service offered by Liquid Web; their virtual private servers. These are servers that Liquid Web claims will combine the affordability of shared with the features of dedicated. In reality, virtual private servers have fewer features than dedicated servers and are more expensive than shared web hosting solutions. They are however less expensive than dedicated servers and better featured than shared web hosting. It is basically a middle of the road trade-off to someone looking for features that they can’t get from shared hosting, but unable or unwilling to pay the money required for dedicated hosting.

Ultimately, it makes very little difference vis-à-vis being able to offer reseller hosting which of these particular choices you choose to pursue. Where the difference lies is in the quality of reseller hosting you can offer as well as the price you have to charge in order to make a profit. In that sense, only you can make the decision about which of Liquid Web’s products would suit you best.
